Fringing also seems rather bad in a lot of the shots, but I don't know it that's due to the lens like you said. :) Also, my friend just confirmed what I suspected- the video responds very poorly in post. The weaknesses are really to be expected though...there can't be a device that does everything fantastically (HD video that shoots full frame, has great DOF, high ISO, on relatively dirt cheap lenses...basically all the problems that prosumer video cameras have) yet priced at one-fourth the price of its video camera equivalent.
